Cool Headphones for the Homeschool

Stuck for a last minute Christmas gift? My family recently had the opportunity to test out some headphones that are meant for music listening and gaming, but actually work really well in our homeschool!

Monster N-Tune Headphones

Monster NCredible N-Tune Headphones are on-ear headphones featuring a passive noise isolation design, which helps you hear what you want to hear – your music. The tangle-free cord and virtually unbreakable design make these headphones a perfect gift for anyone who has kids in the house.

Other features of the Monster N-Tune headphones include in-line controls, an on-cord mic, and music sharing capabilities (just plug another set of headphones into these babies, and you’re good to go). The fact that they come in cool candy colors is an added bonus.

Monster N-Tune Headphones in candy colors are available at Walmart for $79.95.

Our Experience with Monster N-Tune Headphones

We received a pair of Monster N-Tune headphones in a lovely shade of Candy Blueberry. I was the first to try them out. As I listened to my music, I noticed the bass sounded incredible! The sound quality is great, and the noise isolating design really does help cut down on background noise.

But I’m not the member of the family that uses headphones frequently. My fifteen year old uses her headphones all the time, so I handed them off to her. I figured if there was a problem with the headphones, she’d find it.

At first she used the Monster headphones to listen to music, and like me, she thought her music sounded great. But then she decided to use the Monster headphones for her schoolwork, specifically for her Rosetta Stone French course.

Given that the mic is on the cord, rather than in front of her mouth, I was skeptical that the Monster headphones would work for Rosetta Stone. I was wrong. She has been using the Monster Headphones all week, and the mic is picking her voice up clearly enough for Rosetta Stone. That says a lot, as we’ve had trouble with other headsets we’ve used.

My daughter has broken two headsets in the last year, so I’m thankful for the indestructible design of the Monster headphones. These should last quite a bit longer than her last headset. I’m just bummed that I won’t get to use them more, now that these beautiful blue headphones are in the hands of my 15 year old!
